Liquidation Information
On March 18, 2010, Kim Holland, the Insurance Commissioner for the State of Oklahoma, filed an Application for Order of Receivership and Request for Injunctive Relief in the District Court of Oklahoma County, State of Oklahoma, Case No. CJ-2010-2340 relative to Imperial Casualty and Indemnity Company. After considering the Application, the Court entered its Order Directing Insurer to Show Cause, Allowing Injunctive Relief and Order for Hearing. In order to comply with Court’s Order and marshal assets, the bank accounts of the company were closed and new accounts reopened in the name of the Receiver.
On May 12, 2010, before the conclusion of the Hearing to Show Cause, the court entered Consent Order of Liquidation with a Finding of Insolvency and Permanent Injunction. The Order directs the Commissioner of Insurance, as Receiver of Imperial Casualty and Indemnity Company to take possession of Imperial’s property, liquidate its business and give notice to all creditors to present claims.
